Letters To Heaven

 Poem / Journal Book

Letters To Heaven is dedicated to my daughter Vanessa and my sweet grandson Hudson.

A horrible unfair tragedy struck our family when we lost our 15 month old grandson, Hudson. He passed away from unknown reasons.

One night he went sleep and never woke up.

The heartache that followed I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

In a blink of an eye our young daughter was faced with having to answers
questions no mother should have to answer.

Burial or Cremation?

Flowers or Balloons?

Viewing or no viewing?

Pictures or video for the service?
Hudson was a healthy active normal 15 month old child.

He was walking and starting to talk.

He had gotten a clean bill of health from his doctor just three days before he passed.

How does this happen?

As we found out it happens way too often.

Mamas are left heartbroken, alone, and scared.

Vanessa’s head was swimming with ideas of suicide and regret.

She wasn’t even sure what to regret because it was 6 months before we knew what had actually happened to Hudson.

Unknown and undetermined it was done we had the answer and it held no answers at all.

How does a mama, a family move forward when faced with such an injustice and no real explanation?

One day and one step at a time.

This Poem / Journal book is just a glimpse of what Vanessa went through and how she survives daily, how we all do.

She and every mother out there that is breathing is a survivor.

No matter how brief our little ones are here they mattered and we need to remember them.
